Last week’s new Ads in Chicago
I have a love/hate relationship with advertising. It is vital to sustain economy and when done well, it can inspire people and stir emotion. But all this has to provoke ACTION. No matter the creative genius of an ad, if it does not drive sales and generate money, you lose a client and may even bankrupt a business.
On the other hand I believe consumerism and pollution to a certain extent is an effect of a continuum provoked by corporate greed.
Anyways I live in Chicago and see ad campaigns come and go all the time. Some of them inspire me, some just turn me off. I often times stop and take a snapshot of those ads to the wonderment of fellow pedestrians or commuters. I thought I would start sharing some of them at least once a week…
This campaign began in Chicago the day after the ipad Air was announced. Why buy an iPad air when you can Photoshop on a Surface 2?
I did not really get this one… I guess I still have to take American Culture 101.
Last week, the new AmericanAirlines launched a new campaign as well.
